People & Work

People and Work is an independent charity (established in 1984) working in Wales. P&W seeks to make a difference through its two core functions: to promote the value of education and learning as a tool for tackling inequalities and promoting employment, through a programme of community based action research projects; and to undertake commissioned research and evaluation work for the public and third sectors in Wales addressing inequalities in areas such as education, health and employment.

P&W has developed three projects in Rhondda: Dynamic Young Communities seeks to support young people to become community role models, volunteers and leaders through sport, fitness and wellbeing; ‘Appening Rhondda is a partnership between P&W, Arts Factory and Candlhat Studios, working with young people to design and build Apps for community use; What We Say is a youth-led action research project helping young people to research their own future wellbeing, employment and educational opportunities.
